Two rectangular mirror surfaces intersect at a ninety-degree angle - one a solid surface and the other a screen of fragmented pieces. The right angle causes a duplicate reflection, as both mirrors reflect not only the space but also each other. Their widths become extended, seeming to continue into the adjoining side, thus appearing to the viewer as a mirrored cross rather than a mirrored angle. As a result, the object creates a disjointed perception of the space, as if the room is reconstructed by the combination of reflected fragments. The abstract composition of line, colour and form is reminiscent of the view through kaleidoscope.
